A gift for living.
The free bowel cancer screening kit is simple to use and can detect bowel cancer before any symptoms appear. It’s a gift that could save your life.
Bowel cancer screening could save your life.Unfortunately bowel cancer is not rare in Australia. In fact, it currently kills around 80 Australians every week.
But, if detected early, the number of people dying from bowel cancer can be reduced. If caught early, up to 90% of cases can be successfully treated.
The National Bowel Cancer Screening Program helps to do just that – catch bowel cancer early. The screening test is simple to use and can detect bowel cancer before any symptoms appear. It can also be completed in the privacy of your own home. It’s quick, easy and effective.
Over the next five years the screening intervals and ages for the program will be changing and, by 2020, all Australians aged 50 – 74 will receive the kit every two years.
Bowel screening is important, because the more we test, the more chance we have of finding bowel cancer early, and the more lives we can save. So when you receive your kit, it’s important that you compete and return it.
